Rolly and his family came to Northern Virginia in January 2009. Prior to that, they lived in Staten Island, NY for several years. Rolly was the pastor of Brooklyn Evangelical Church in Brooklyn, NY for almost six years until God directed him and his wife Anabel to change locations. In April 2010, Fil-Am Church called him to be their bi-vocational pastor which he gladly accepted realizing that God planned it all.
Rolly is a software engineer by profession and currently works for a consulting company based in Chantilly. He graduated with an A.B. Economics degree from the University of the Philippines in 1982 and earned his Master of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2001.
Rolly’s vision as lead pastor is to see the church become a place of life transformation under God’s power for people from all walks of life.
In his spare time, whenever he finds it, he reads books and surfs the ‘net. He is a big fan of the NY Giants (God needs to change his heart to convert to the Washington Commanders) and of a board game called “Opprimo” which he invented. Rolly is a sci-fi buff too. He has read the likes of Isaac Asimov and Arthur C. Clarke. He has tried his hand in writing a sci-fi story and is now published in the Kindle Store with the title "In Man's Image".
Rolly met Anabel at the Brooklyn church where he was the pastor. After years of praying and searching, he finally found the woman he was looking for. In 2003, they got married and their three little children – Ally, Eze, and Eza – came one after the other soon after that. They live in Fairfax, VA.
