David has been with Fil-Am Community Church since 2007. He is a graduate of American Military University with a BA in Religion. He is a graduate form Liberty University with a Masters Degree in Theological Studies, and is also pursuing a Master of
Arts in Human Services Counseling (M.A.) Marriage and Family Cognate also from Liberty University.

He retired from the Marine Corps in 2013 as Master Gunnery Sergeant, with 30 years of service and now is a Government employee working on base at Quantico Virginia.

David is married to the amazing Shirley Bennett, May the 24th 2013, will be twenty five years.  They have four children two of
which are still living here in Virginia, Isaac 23 who attends the Art Institute of Washington DC and Abigail 20 who attends
Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA).

David's vision for his ministry is to build up the saints in the knowledge of the Bible in order to defend themselves against the schemes of the Devil. According to him, "Knowledge is power and the only way to get it is to dive in head first. Getting into the word of God, more importantly getting the word of God into you."

Pushing yourself out of your comfort zone is the only way to grow. Some favorite sayings? "Attitude is the small thing that makes a Big Difference!",
"Plan your attack and then attack your plan!"
